Recycling Programs

Electronics Recycling

Allen County businesses and residents recycled over 217,000 pounds of computers and electronic equipment in 2008!

Computers and electronic devices contain hazardous materials, such as mercury.  If not properly disposed of, these hazardous materials can contaminate our water, soil, and endanger our health.

In 2002, The Allen County Solid Waste Management District partnered with OmniSource to offer a year-round  Electronics Recycling program, to Allen County residents, businesses and non-profit agencies.

Allen County residents can drop off unwanted computer & electronic equipment at:

OmniSource
